Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the reservation and stay of guests at Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation ("we," "us," or "our"). By making a reservation, checking in, or otherwise using our services or facilities, you ("the Guest" or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your booking.

Reservations may be made through our official website, by telephone, by email, or through authorized booking partners. A reservation is confirmed only once Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation has issued a booking confirmation number. The primary guest making the reservation must be at least 18 years of age and accepts responsibility for all members of their party.

Room rates are quoted in the currency displayed at the time of booking and are subject to availability. Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation reserves the right to decline or cancel any reservation at its discretion.

All room rates are quoted per night unless otherwise stated and are inclusive of the morning and evening dining provided as part of your stay. Prices are displayed in the currency selected at the time of booking.

Taxes and applicable government charges, including local tourism and accommodation taxes, are additional to the published room rate and will be added to your final invoice. These may include, but are not limited to, a Goods and Services Tax (GST) and any local visitor or accommodation levy imposed by the Government of Samoa.

Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation reserves the right to revise rates, taxes, and charges in response to changes in government legislation or tax policy. Any such changes will be reflected in your final settlement. Prices displayed at the time of booking are subject to confirmation and may be adjusted if errors or omissions are identified.

Check-in is available from the time stated for your room category, and check-out is required by the stated check-out time. A late check-out may be available on request and is subject to an additional fee. Early check-in is subject to room availability and cannot be guaranteed.

At check-in, Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation requires a valid government-issued photo identification (such as a passport) for the primary guest and any additional adult guests. As full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm a reservation, a valid credit card or acceptable form of payment must be presented at check-in only to secure any incidental charges incurred during your stay.

Full payment for the room and applicable taxes is required at the time of booking. For bookings made via email or telephone, a courtesy hold of up to 24 hours is placed on the reservation until proof of payment is received. The booking is not confirmed until payment has been received in full. Any incidental charges — including food, beverages, activities, tours, telephone, laundry, and other services — are payable at check-out.

Accepted methods of payment include major credit cards, debit cards, and cash in the local currency. Personal cheques are not accepted. Any pre-authorizations placed on a credit card will be released upon settlement of the account, subject to your bank's processing times.

All bookings are non-refundable. Once a reservation is confirmed and payment is made, no refund will be issued for cancellations, early departures, no-shows, or unused portions of the stay.

Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm a reservation. A booking is not confirmed until full payment has been received.

For reservations made via email or telephone, Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation will place a courtesy hold for up to 24 hours from the time the booking is made. This hold allows time for the guest to arrange and provide proof of payment. If proof of payment is not received within the 24-hour courtesy hold period, the booking will be released and the reservation cancelled without notice.

Upon confirmation of your booking, you have a 14-day window during which you may request one amendment to your reservation. After an amendment has been made, the booking can no longer be amended. If your booking is made within 14 days of the check-in date, no amendments can be made.

Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation reserves the right to cancel a reservation if proof of payment is not received within the courtesy hold period, or in the event of a confirmed booking error, fraud, or breach of these Terms and Conditions.

Guests under the age of 18 are considered minors and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. The accompanying adult accepts full responsibility for the conduct, safety, and supervision of any minors in their party.

At check-in, Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation may require proof of guardianship or parental relationship for accompanying minors. In circumstances where a minor is traveling with an adult who is not their parent or legal guardian, a written consent letter from the parent or legal guardian, along with contact information, may be required.

Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation accepts no responsibility for unaccompanied minors on the premises. Any damage, disturbance, or loss caused by a minor is the responsibility of the accompanying adult and will be charged accordingly.

Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation is committed to welcoming guests with accessibility needs and will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requests where possible. Guests with special requirements — including mobility, dietary, medical, or other needs — are encouraged to contact us in advance of their stay so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Due to the traditional design of the property, including open-air fales and natural pathways, some areas may not be fully accessible to guests with limited mobility. Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation accepts no liability for any limitation in accessibility arising from the inherent nature of the property.

Guests requiring medical attention, equipment, or assistance should inform Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation prior to arrival and should ensure they have adequate travel and medical insurance for the duration of their stay.

Ample parking is available on the premises for all guests staying at Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation. There is sufficient parking for every guest vehicle, and no reservation of spaces is required.

Parking is secure during the night, with security personnel present on the property to monitor the grounds. Guests are nonetheless encouraged to lock their vehicles and remove any valuables, as Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation cannot accept responsibility for the personal property of guests or for any damage, theft, or loss occurring on the premises.

Parking is provided free of charge for all guests staying at Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation. Guests are requested to follow all directional signage and instructions from staff regarding parking.

Guests are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that respects the comfort, safety, and enjoyment of other guests, staff, and the local community. Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation reserves the right to request any guest to leave the premises without refund where their conduct is deemed unacceptable, disruptive, or in breach of these Terms and Conditions.

Smoking is not permitted inside any room, fale, or enclosed public area. Designated outdoor smoking areas, where provided, must be used. Any breach of the smoking policy may result in a cleaning charge.

Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation is not responsible for the personal property of guests. Valuables should be secured, and where a safe is provided in the room, guests are encouraged to use it. Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation accepts no liability for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.

Pets are not permitted on the premises unless otherwise agreed in writing in advance, such as in the case of registered assistance animals.

Unless otherwise stated at the time of booking, stays include morning and evening dining as part of the accommodation package. Meal service hours are published and displayed on the premises. Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation reserves the right to modify service hours and menus without notice.

Special dietary requirements should be communicated to Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation in advance. While reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate such requests, we cannot guarantee an environment free from all allergens.

Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation hosts and may host a range of events, including cultural performances, weddings, functions, and community gatherings, which may result in noise, music, or restricted access to certain areas during the event. Guests acknowledge that such events form part of our operations and cultural offering.

Where an event is scheduled during a guest's stay, Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation will take reasonable steps to minimize disruption. However, we accept no liability for any disturbance caused by such events, and no refund or compensation will be offered on this basis.

Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation accepts no liability for any loss, injury, damage, or expense suffered by a guest or visitor arising from their use of our premises, facilities, or services, except to the extent caused by the willful misconduct or gross negligence of Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation.

Guests use our facilities, including the beach, swimming areas, pathways, and any recreational equipment, entirely at their own risk. Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation is not liable for any accident, injury, or loss occurring in connection with such use, and guests are responsible for their own safety and that of their party.

Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, or for any loss of enjoyment, arising from a guest's stay or any failure to provide services.

Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in the performance of its obligations under these Terms and Conditions where such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, severe weather, tropical cyclones, earthquakes, tsunamis, pandemics, epidemics, government action, war, terrorism, civil unrest, strikes, or other labor disputes.

In the event of a force majeure occurrence, Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation will make reasonable efforts to notify affected guests and to provide alternative arrangements or a refund where appropriate, but accepts no liability for any resulting loss or inconvenience.

These Terms and Conditions are entered into between Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation and the guest. No third party, including other members of a guest's party, travel agents, booking platforms, or service providers, shall acquire any rights under these Terms and Conditions except as expressly provided.

Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation works with third-party booking platforms and travel agents. While we will honor confirmed reservations made through such channels, we accept no responsibility for the terms, conditions, or practices of those third parties, which are governed by their own agreements with the guest.

Any concern, complaint, or issue arising during a guest's stay should be raised with management as soon as possible to allow Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation the opportunity to address the matter promptly. We are committed to resolving guest concerns in good faith.

Where a dispute cannot be resolved through direct discussion, the parties agree to attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiation before pursuing any further remedy. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Independent State of Samoa, and any dispute not resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Samoan courts.

Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation collects and processes personal information provided by guests for the purposes of managing reservations, facilitating the stay, billing, and complying with legal and regulatory requirements. Personal information is treated as confidential and is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Guests acknowledge that certain personal information, including passport or identification details, may be required by law to be shared with government authorities. Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation will not disclose personal information to any other third party without the guest's consent, except where required by law or to facilitate the services booked.

Guests may request access to, or correction of, their personal information held by Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation by contacting management.

No failure or delay by Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation in enforcing any provision of these Terms and Conditions shall be construed as a waiver of that provision or of the right to enforce it at a later time. Any waiver must be given in writing to be effective.

The rights and remedies of Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation under these Terms and Conditions are in addition to, and do not exclude, any other rights or remedies available at law.

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

The parties shall negotiate in good faith to replace any severed provision with a valid and enforceable provision that achieves, as closely as possible, the original intent of the parties.

These Terms and Conditions, together with any terms confirmed at the time of booking, constitute the entire agreement between Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation and the guest in relation to the subject matter of the stay, and supersede any prior agreements, representations, or understandings.

Taufua Beach Fales & Accommodation reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version applicable to a guest's stay is the version in effect at the time of booking. The most current version will be available on our website and at reception.
